love plants so much! Not only is the color green so in right now, but plants truly make a space feel nicer in pretty much every single way. My mom has always had house plants all around our house and it really made me want to have plants in every home or space I ever live. However, going to a plant shop and trying to find your perfect plant can be super overwhelming. So, here are a handful of my favorites that could work perfectly in your space.
Golden Pothos
I love Golden Pothos plants. I have three in my bedroom alone. They are the perfect hanging plants in any space. And, to make it even better, they are air purifying plants as well. They are the prettiest green color and looks so cute in macramés. The other amazing thing about these plants is that they are so low maintenance. I’d say every two weeks I give them more water than you think they need, and they slowly take the water they need until the water is completely gone. I have to mention that I got these specific Pothos from IKEA. IKEA!!!! These plants are so amazing that even the IKEA plants hold up beautifully. The only problem I have with these is that Since they’re hanging plants, my cats love batting at them and chewing on them. So, cat owners beware.
Rubber Tree
I am obsessed with rubber trees. They’re not the easiest plants to take care of, so I don’t think they’re for beginners, but if you have lots of experience with houseplants, I would highly recommend getting yourself one of these. They’re so beautiful and have the most unique shade of green. They definitely break up the classic “plant green” you may already have in your home. They are also such a great size! They’re not too big and not too small so they can honestly work in any space you may like.
Monstera
I feel like Monsteras are everyone’s favorite plant. And while Monsteras aren’t my favorite of all time, I do think there a beautiful addition to every home. Since they have giant beautiful leaves, they do make your space look a bit bigger as well. These plants are also made to last with proper care. We’ve had this monster in my house for years. As long as you’re caring for it properly, it’ll be the perfect plant child for a long time.
Eucalyptus
Everyone loves eucalyptus! And, I am definitely part of everyone. I love eucalyptus plants so much. My favorite place to come or you go with us lately has been on my desk and in my shower. I’ve been putting a whole bunch of eucalyptus in my shower and let me tell you it has totally changed my life. As you’re in the hot steamy shower, the eucalyptus gives the best aromatic steam. If you’ve ever done Vick’s steam machine before, it feels like a giant one of those. It makes my showers feel so luxurious and fun! Not to mention eucalyptus looks so cute in a little vase as well. Eucalyptus is super easy to find, but I get mine from Trader Joe’s for really cheap.
Mother-in-Law Tongues
Sometimes these are referred to as snake plants, but no matter the name they are beautiful. Mother-in-law tongue offers such a beautiful geometric shape to whatever space you put them in. Since most plants have big leaves that flow around a pot, having straight up and down leaves, totally adds a different dimension to your space. Plus, they look so expensive and bougie. Any space looks more expensive with a beautiful mother-in-law tongue in a gorgeous planter.
